We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our User Data Platform - Cookies team with our R&D Department of 900 engineers!
In a team serving multiple internal clients - such as audience, bidding and reco components - you will design and implement algorithms and processes to aggregate user data, make it available to inform eligibility/arbitrage/recomandation and enforce user data governance requests.
You will understand the objectives of the internal clients and drive engineering plan across multiple components from design through rollout, which set an high standard in end-to-end observability.
You will strive to design a system that allows clients to quickly experiment and roll out new user data computed features through the cookie factory.
You enjoy the engineering challenge of scaling multiple approaches through both offline Spark jobs and online steaming processes which must aggregate billions of daily events from billions of daily users.
You manage to plainly explain complex systems to different kind of audiences and are able to promptly onboard members of other R&D teams on the initiative you are driving.
You have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
You have a Software Engineering degree
You’ve previously worked with Spark or Scala with other distributed computing technologies
You are curious about new technologies and like experimenting with them
You love sharing your knowledge with others and helping them improve
You’re familiar with Agile methods and enjoy working with others to achieve the team’s goals
You have a proactive attitude and you approach problems by thinking positively
You have good oral and written communication skills in English
