Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
- 2 years of experience coding in C++.
- Experience with runtimes and performance tuning.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in JavaScript and WebAssembly.
- Experience in performance engineering using a wide variety of profiling tools.
- Experience in low-level programming, profiling, and debugging in C++.
- Experience with compilers and memory management.
- Experience with open source development.

Responsibilities
- Identify performance hotspots via profiling to design and implement novel solutions end-to-end.
- Contribute to long-term architectural projects to improve V8’s maintainability and its integration with Chrome’s rendering engine Blink.
- Manage bug fixes, triage issues, and participate in the regular V8 workflows necessary for seemless Chrome releases.
- Work closely with V8's Technical Leads (TLs) and other relevant teams to determine project priorities within Chrome.
