We are excited to announce an opening for a Specifications and Process Technologist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our products adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining product specifications, supporting innovation in product development, and optimising production processes to enhance product quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support the introduction of new products by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
  • Conduct process verification and validation activities to ensure production methods adhere to defined specifications.
  • Monitor and assess manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare and present technical documents and reports for internal audits and customer inquiries.
  • Conduct regular training and workshops for production teams on specification requirements and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting product specifications.

Requirements

  • A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in product specifications, product development, or quality assurance within the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting technical information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
