NYC Alliance Company LLC is on the lookout for a creative and skilled Designer specializing in Wovens to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the design department, you will be responsible for crafting innovative and trend-driven designs for our woven apparel categories, ensuring that they resonate with our target customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Design director on seasonal line development for woven sportswear across diverse categories, including jackets and skirts, with a strong emphasis on bottoms
- Conduct in-depth market research and store shopping to identify trends, color schemes, and styles that are directly aligned with our customer brands.
- Expertly create comprehensive tech packs, tech flats, and specifications to drive an efficient development into production process.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and our partners in China, to ensure cohesive and successful product execution.
- Manage and oversee the sample development process, ensuring strict adherence to the established calendar and milestone dates.
- Actively participate in fittings and make design adjustments based on fit feedback and the desired aesthetic.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to pivot priorities effectively, and a collaborative spirit, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
- During the seasonal kickoff, collaborate with Design director to create trend boards and establish the color direction.
- Demonstrates strong sketching and CAD abilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in woven garment design, preferably in the women’s apparel segment.
- Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledgeable about textile development, garment construction, and production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of woven product categories.

- The offered salary for this position will vary based on role requirements determined by NYC Alliance, skill set and years of experience.
