Sr. Automation QA : AS400(Onsite)

Onsite Location : Monroe Township, NJ

Qualifications

6 to 9 yrs. of QA with

Strong knowledge of AS400/iSeries environment, CL commands, and RPG programs.

Experienced with AS400 automation

Experience in Automation tools Framework and better to have Image based testing experience

Hands on experience with Writing Manual test cases and converting them to Automation test cases

Experience in Requirement gathering and Logging defect in Jira and retesting them

Familiarity with SQL/DB2 for data validation.

Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Good communication skills for client interaction and onsite coordination.

Roles & Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis - Understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios for AS400 applications.
Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify requirements.

Maintain automation scripts using tools compatible with AS400 (e.g., Robot Framework, RPA tools, or custom scripts).
Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines if applicable.

Execute automated and manual test cases for AS400 applications.
Log defects in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM) and work with developers to resolve issues

Work closely with onsite/offshore teams for test execution and status reporting.
Provide daily/weekly status reports to stakeholders.

Ensure all testing activities comply with organizational QA standards and industry best practices.
Maintain documentation for audits and knowledge transfer.

Need to run Batch Jobs in AS400 system

Conduct regression testing for AS400 applications after code changes.
Validate performance of batch jobs and interactive screens

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 9/01/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477/- to $ 92,500/- depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
