About the role

As a Sr Consultant, Pharmaceutical Advisory, you will make an impact by leading the delivery of transformation programs across Life Sciences clients. You will be a valued member of the Health Sciences Advisory Consulting team and work collaboratively with the Practice Lead, client sponsors, PMOs, and cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will:

• Lead PMO execution across workstreams, ensuring governance, reporting, and delivery outcomes.
• Manage scope, schedule, resources, financials, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across Pharmaceutical R&D, Commercial, and Manufacturing.
• Facilitate process re-engineering, data validation, vendor management, and change management.
• Collaborate with external project managers to ensure alignment and transparency across programs.

Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mexico City. What you must have to be considered

• 8+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years in Life Sciences (Pharma, Biopharma, Medical Devices, Biotech).
• Proven success managing large-scale, complex transformation programs.
• Experience delivering digital transformation solutions in an advisory environment.
• Agile training and certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile POPM, CSM, PSM).
• Experience mentoring junior resources and managing collaborative vendor engagements.

These will help you succeed

• Strong leadership presence and ability to facilitate project meetings and accountability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Office365, Rally, SAP, Oracle PPM.
• Financial acumen including forecasting, accruals, ROI, NPV, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
