Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Commercial Solutions Analytics will partner closely with global executives in Contracts, Pricing, Customer Finance, and Tender-Management to examine complex business challenges and deliver strategic, data-driven insights. This position will drive the development of data-backed frameworks and methodologies used by our finance teams, as well as commercial team in interactions with customers.

The senior analyst will provide recommendations to support new acquisition model development, commercial finance strategy, organizational efficiency, and asset margin optimization. This is a highly statistical role requiring the ability to work with large datasets and build solid relationships with multiple executive stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business intelligence and analytics partner for Contracts, Pricing, Tender and Customer Finance leadership.
  • Leverage database & statistical methods to generate actionable insights and drive measurable performance improvement and efficiency.
  • Present findings and recommendations to Finance and Commercial leadership
  • Identify and interprets trends and patterns in our contract portfolios, capital pipeline, and procedure production datasets to locate opportunities for accelerating da Vinci and Ion adoption through new acquisition models.
  • Develop tools and dashboards to highlight the financial impact of acquisition models and monitor portfolio health
  • Build capacity models and efficiency metrics to support resource allocation decision making.
  • Partner with cross functional-teams to investigate and resolve operational issues.
  • Provide early insights into portfolio trends and their strategic/business model impact.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop monthly and quarterly reporting materials and run review sessions

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant finance experience involving business analytics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically through complexity
  • High curiosity and aptitude for comprehending trends, outliers, and causal relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient with data visualization tools
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in SQL and relational databases
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Dedicated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-focused mindset
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week

Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Tableau and Snowflake
  • Background and familiarity with healthcare industry, soft tissue surgery, and hospital operations
  • Knowledge of and experience applying specialized machine learning and statistical techniques

Base Salary Range Region 1:$127,800 - $183,800
Base Salary Range Region 2: $108,600 - $156,200
