Salary: £55,516 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

The Opportunity
Caterpillar IT are looking for a Senior IT Analyst to partner with our global supply chain, finance and digital operations team to enable their strategic growth.
The Senior IT Analyst (ERP Applications) will help identify, grow and implement world class solutions for our customers, partners and internal organisation. They will become part of a high-performing team focused on the delivery of a key business opportunities within an exciting business segment at Caterpillar.
In this role, you will work with various business teams, key implementation partners and internal enterprise groups to provide oversight and technical leadership in the use of the application suite, including ERP (QAD & SAP) and its key integration points, as well as Analytics platforms (Microsoft Azure, Alteryx and the Snowflake).
This is an exciting opportunity as the organisation looks to grow capability in support of a new product ranges, looking for ways to exploit technology to deliver business process changes and risk mitigation.
What You Will Do
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to oversee a global project portfolio across supply chain, finance, and digital operations.
Serve as the primary IT contact for broader functions, addressing system issues, enhancements, and information requests.
Understand business goals and challenges in Supply Chain, Finance, and Digital Operations to align IT solutions with their needs.
Gather and define business requirements to scope IT projects, collaborating with internal teams and third parties to ensure alignment with desired outcomes.
Estimate project and support costs through detailed requirements analysis.
Present and validate solutions with business partners and Enterprise Architects.
Oversee project delivery through the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring compliance in application management.
Continuously expand IT knowledge to stay current with emerging technologies and application capabilities.
What You Will Have
Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Thorough understanding of ERP Systems, primarily supporting Supply Chain and Logistics functions.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Extensive problem-solving skills, including diagnosing faults and root causes through a blend of questioning techniques and personal technical knowledge.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Facilitation of business requirements and translating them into design documentation for a development team.
System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
Possess the ability to develop solutions for customer issues that are in line with enterprise strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
Strong accountability, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability of creating and growing excellent Business Relationships
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Familiarity with using Azure DevOps for managing user requirements.
Capability to guide an offshore support and development team.
Comprehension of IT systems and their role in supporting Business Data Analytics.
Proficiency in ITSM and its associated processes.
QAD Enterprise Edition experience would be highly desirable.

This role is based from the office in Peterborough 5 days a week.
