Sr. Java Spring boot and Kafka Developer (Onsite)

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Developer where you will leverage your expertise in Spring Boot AWS Kafka Connect Confluent Kafka Kafka and Apache Flink. With 8+ years of experience you will design and implement robust solutions that drive our business forward. This role is based in the office with a day shift schedule ensuring a collaborative and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and efficient architectures using Spring Boot and AWS to meet business requirements.
• Oversee the integration of Kafka Connect and Confluent Kafka to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Provide technical expertise in deploying and managing Kafka clusters to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data pipelines using Apache Flink.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of systems by implementing best practices in architecture design.
• Lead the development of innovative solutions that align with company goals and industry standards.
• Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for architecture designs and technical specifications.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in Spring Boot and AWS demonstrating the ability to design and implement complex solutions.
• Have a deep understanding of Kafka Connect Confluent Kafka and Kafka with proven experience in managing data streams.
• Demonstrate expertise in Apache Flink for real-time data processing and analytics.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Show proficiency in designing scalable architectures that meet business needs and industry standards.
• Display strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and team members.
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Certifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until Oct 16, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
