About the role
We are seeking a Sr. Microservices Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microservices and Microsoft Azure with a preference for experience in Asset & Wealth Management. This role involves developing and optimizing applications to enhance our services, contributing to the company’s growth and societal impact.
In this role, you will:
· Develop and maintain scalable microservices architecture to support business applications.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
· Ensure the quality of performance and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and optimization.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
· Implement best practices for software development and ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
· Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative team environment.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
· Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture processes and procedures.

What you need to have to be considered:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
· Possess strong experience in developing microservices and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure.
· Demonstrate proficiency in cloud computing and distributed systems.
· Exhibit knowledge of Asset & Wealth Management domain is a plus.
· Show expertise in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
· Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Display strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $102,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
