Our Location

Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Sr. Project Manager – Digital Transformation would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 Energy Trust is beginning a Digital Transformation initiative. This position will be responsible for working with the Digital Transformation Steering Team in establishing the Digital Transformation initiatives.

As a Senior Project Manager – Digital Transformation you will lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive digital innovation and organizational change. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional digital projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to implement new systems, processes, and platforms that enhance business capabilities and improve customer experience.

 

In addition to managing projects, Energy Trust’s Project Management Office acts as an educational and support resource for the entire organization. In your role, you may be occasionally assigned to mentor junior staff members or to co-create project management training with Project Management Office colleagues.

 

This individual reports to a manager in the Project Management Office. This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Assist with defining and documenting initiative structure and responsibilities.
  • Engage and collaborate with the Digital Transformation Steering Team and key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage digital transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate organizational change by identifying impacts, training needs, and communication strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new digital tools and workflows.
  • Manage project teams comprised of staff and/or contractors to execute project implementation plan.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues promptly to keep initiatives on track.
  • Perform liaison role between Product Owner and internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress, risks, milestones, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Occasionally participate in providing project management and change management mentorship and training.
  • Perform other projects and job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.

Requirements

What You'll Need:

  • Experience managing projects within a larger initiative. Experience coordinating with multiple project managers and a steering team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in all aspects of managing multiple concurrent complex projects.
  • 2 years’ experience using Agile project management methodology. Knowledge and experience in successful systems implementations strategies.
  • Group facilitation and team building – successful approaches and processes to facilitate, build, and manage high-performing project teams.
  • Good organization, time management skills, problem-solving skills and issue resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and lead organization-wide change management efforts related to project implementation.
  • Strong experience and skills using Smartsheet and/or Asana to build project schedules.
  • Must have proven ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations and make presentations.
  • Project management skills to create and report on project forecasts.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Scrum certification preferred.
  • Prosci Change Management certification preferred.
