Sr. Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in the Transportation and Logistics domain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various testing tools and frameworks including SQL SoapUI Azure and more. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our software solutions contributing to the companys success and societal impact.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects and issues.
• Utilize SQL SoapUI and RestAssured to perform API testing and validate data integrity.
• Implement automated testing frameworks using Selenium Cypress and Playwright to enhance testing efficiency.
• Oversee the integration of testing processes with Jenkins and Maven for continuous integration and delivery.
• Provide expertise in testing web applications using JavaScript TypeScript and Java.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and user expectations.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design test strategies.
• Utilize Jira for defect tracking and test management to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Apply Scrum Master principles to facilitate agile processes and improve team collaboration.

What you need to have to be considered

• Possess strong experience in SQL SoapUI Azure and other testing tools.
• Demonstrate proficiency in automated testing frameworks like Selenium and Cypress.
• Exhibit knowledge in Java JavaScript and TypeScript for effective testing.
• Have experience in the Transportation and Logistics domain.
• Show capability in using Jenkins and Maven for CI/CD processes.
• Understand agile methodologies and Scrum Master principles.
• Display excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted until September 26, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $45,000- $75,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
