We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (.NET) to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will lead the development of high-performance applications using the latest .NET technologies. Your expertise will help drive innovation and deliver scalable solutions that meet complex business needs.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional team, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to design, build, and optimize software systems. This hybrid position offers flexibility, with days onsite and remote. We support a healthy work-life balance through a variety of wellbeing programs and flexible work arrangements, which may evolve based on project and client requirements.
Work model: Hybrid (2 days Onsite; 3 Remote).

Roles/Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of robust applications using ASP.NET Core Web API to meet business requirements.
Oversee the integration of SQL databases to ensure efficient data management and retrieval.
Provide technical expertise in .Net Core to enhance application performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features.
Ensure code quality and maintainability through regular code reviews and best practices.
Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
Implement security best practices to protect applications and data from potential threats.
Optimize application performance through regular monitoring and tuning.
Contribute to the company mission by delivering high-quality software solutions that enhance user experience.
Qualifications:
- Possess a deep understanding of ASP.NET Core Web API and its application in real-world scenarios.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL for effective database management and operations.
- Exhibit strong expertise in .Net Core to develop scalable and efficient applications.
- Show excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Display strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies
Skillset: .Net Core, Web API development, SQL, NoSQL, Azure, Entity Framework, LINQ, jQuery and JavaScript.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
