Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development in one or more general purpose programming languages.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, or Go).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in systems engineering with designing and building distributed processing systems using languages like Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Experience in data warehouse design, with developing and managing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience in data analytics with the ability to leverage data systems to provide insights and collaborate in business selections.
  • Experience with modern Open Source Technologies in the big data ecosystem with frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Hive, and Apache Iceberg.

In this role, you will work on problems, designing solutions that enable data migrations from petabytes to exabytes per day, accelerating the customer's journey to Business Intelligence (BI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will deliver multiple products to external Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers and simplify their most data processing needs.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for Data Warehouse migration, focusing on cloud-native and distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering Managers to drive the technical strategy for data migration and the development of new connectors.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to the team, ensuring quality in design and code reviews.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of new features, managing project priorities and deadlines to launch with quality.
  • Engage with cross-functional partners, including GCP infrastructure teams, to build and deliver integrated solutions.
