Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Performance Engineer with a proven ability to develop innovative tools and technologies for validating the performance and scalability of large-scale enterprise systems. As a key member of our Product Performance Engineering team, you will lead benchmarking and testing efforts to ensure our products meet the evolving needs of our largest customers.

You will design and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies, develop advanced mock testing frameworks to simulate real-world workloads, and integrate AI-powered tools to enhance testing automation, operational efficiency, and decision-making. Your work will involve close collaboration with architecture, development, and DevOps teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through root cause analysis and data-driven insights.

Passionate about automation, you will build and apply frameworks that measure complex system behaviors under dynamic loads. Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, you will drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, ensuring reliability, scalability, and quality of service for mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

    • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
    • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with AI technologies, including assessing the performance, tuning, and scaling of AI-driven products.
    • 6+ years of experience in performance engineering/testing of large-scale, cloud-native applications running on container platforms across multiple production environments.
    • Proven expertise in benchmarking system and database performance, capacity sizing, tuning, and optimization.
    • Strong hands-on experience designing and developing mock testing frameworks and automation tools.
    • Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps practices.
    • Proficient in advanced load testing tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, or equivalents, with expertise in scripting and workload modeling.
    • Skilled in database performance engineering (tuning, query analysis, scaling), Java/JVM performance tuning, OS performance monitoring, and system architecture.
    • Experience with Big Data analytics, network monitoring, Splunk, WebPageTest, and other innovative tools; adept at leveraging AI advancements to streamline processes and enhance performance monitoring.
    • Familiarity with AI/ML system performance testing, with a focus on evaluating scalability, responsiveness, and efficiency of AI-enabled applications and machine learning models.
    • Solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and distributed system architectures.
    • Deep knowledge and expertise in architectural-level performance tuning and recommendations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for learning new technologies.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, time management, and interpersonal skills.
    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
