Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience interfacing directly with artists, managers, labels, or digital platforms.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in music industry, with understanding of how the industry operates, key players, and where YouTube sits in this ecosystem.
  • Understanding of the DACH music industry, artists, managers, labels and the digital music space.
  • Understanding of YouTube’s current efforts in music, its trajectory within the industry.
  • Ability to cultivate skills in analytics, basic modeling and formal corporate presentations and analyzing data, coordinating internal events, speaking to partners, or negotiating agreements.
  • Ability to drive new partnerships, promote new business opportunities to existing partners, and ensure prompt and proper resolution of business issues raised by partners.

About the job

As an Artist Strategic Partner Manager you will be responsible for managing YouTube’s relationship with a portfolio of emerging and established artists from the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) regions. Your role will be both external partner-facing and internal with many cross-functional initiatives, where you will balance business development and operations at scale.

In this role, you will work to identify and engage with a set of artists, promoting initiatives to drive partner satisfaction and results, and optimizing partner performance on the platform. You will cultivate relationships in the music industry, while building an understanding of trends in the market and driving results on digital platforms. You should also be apt to resolve technical and financial issues with partners in order to best represent the users, products and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for Artists on the YouTube platform while delivering excellent service to artists and their teams.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of emerging and established artists, driving initiatives, platform optimization and best practices, and supporting engagement and product activation.
  • Design, develop and launch music initiatives in the region.
  • Establish relationships with the cross-functional Music teams, Marketing, Public Relations and Product, serving as a music consultant as needed.
  • Identify key metrics to evaluate data both quantitatively and qualitatively. Improve operational workflow by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.
