About the role
As a Supply Chain Architect – (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) , you will make an impact by leading the architecture and system strategy for modernizing the Service Parts Planning function within aviation MRO and supply chain operations. You will be a valued member of the Digital Supply Chain Transformation team and work collaboratively with platform experts, supply chain planners, and MRO operations leads.
In this role, you will:
Own the design of the target-state architecture for aviation Service Parts Planning.
Lead platform evaluation and fitment across Servigistics, Baxter, o9, Kinaxis, and SAP IBP.
Define the data model and orchestration between planning systems and ERP/execution layers.
Collaborate with inventory, procurement, and MRO leads to design demand forecasting, ROP policies, and part lifecycle logic.
Create Proof of Value (PoV) and implementation roadmap aligned with multi-echelon planning objectives.
Present architecture options to executive stakeholders with TCO and ROI modeling.
Work model: Hybrid – Fort Worth, Texas

What you need to have considered:
10–15 years of total experience in aviation, aerospace, or supply chain domains.
5+ years of hands-on experience in solution architecture, preferably within MRO or Service Parts Planning.
Proven expertise in platforms such as Servigistics, Baxter, o9, Kinaxis, or SAP IBP.
Strong understanding of multi-echelon inventory planning, forecasting, and supply chain orchestration.
Experience integrating planning systems with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP ECC/S4, Oracle).
Ability to lead cross-functional workshops and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Familiarity with aviation-specific MRO processes and regulatory requirements.
These will help you stand out:
Certifications in SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, or o9 Solutions.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $ 135,000- $ 160,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
