Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience in power management or low power design/methodology
  • Experience with low power architectures and power optimization techniques
  • Experience with full product delivery cycle (e.g., definition, architecture, design and implementation, testing, productization)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture
  • Experience with mobile SoC power management architectures and techniques
  • Experience in peak power management, in-rush current, PDN droop detection and mitigation, adaptive clock distribution, aging and process monitors, power aware floorplanning, battery technology, concurrency management and thermal management
  • Understanding of techniques used to manage power delivery and thermal limits in modern SoCs and systems
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and persuasion skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition of power architecture requirements for next-generation Tensor mobile SoCs to optimize Power-Performance-Area (PPA) under peak current and thermal constraints. Represent this area to senior leadership team.
  • Interface with and drive cross-functional silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver industry-leading power efficiency for our cutting-edge SoCs.
  • Define the system power architecture for our System-on-a-Chip (SoC) including power states, power sequencing, voltage domains and IP requirements.
  • Drive peak power and voltage droop management and mitigation architectures and strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally across organizations to understand product requirements and translate them to hardware-software system power requirements.
