Role Definition

As the Talent Management Partner for the Caterpillar Electrification & Energy Solutions Division, you will collaborate with an incredible team of HR, Talent Management and Communications professionals to support approximately 700 global employees, aligning best practices with business goals to support organizational success. You will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant on a wide range of talent strategies and practices, and you will find yourself accomplishing a wide variety of fun, challenging, and meaningful work as you lead and support initiatives that foster a positive employee experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute on the division’s integrated talent strategy to deliver and drive value for business partners.
  • Responsible for providing learning support, analyzing employee engagement survey results, and partnering with Compliance and Safety to establish required learnings for employees and leaders.
  • Assist in the design, leadership or facilitation of upskilling programs to build functional capability.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development Center of Excellence (COE) to deliver professional and leadership learning solutions.
  • Execute programs that support cultural efforts for the Division, such as Onboarding, Employee Insights, and Career Development and partnering with the communications team to further drive cultural priorities from a talent perspective.
  • Provide support to intentionally build talent pipelines and support succession planning efforts to ensure organizational capability.
  • Manage projects across a global team – providing HR/Talent expertise and consultation to the business and HR colleagues. Flexibility with working across time zones as required.
  • Consult with business leaders on ways to embed learning and development opportunities within their team and create a strong employee experience.

What You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in the face of shifting business needs.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Influencing a wider variety of business partners ranging from individual contributor to senior leadership.
  • Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
  • Initiative: Chooses to go above and beyond what’s expected of the role without being asked. Proceeds without seeking unnecessary permission while keeping stakeholders properly updated with progress.
  • Effective Communications: Communicates effectively with diverse audience, internally and externally, develops a deep understanding of global cultures, to ensure messages are clearly written and understood. Has the ability to coach others on methods of improving their own communications.

  • General experience working with business partners and employees in a manufacturing as well as professional environment.
  • Awareness and expertise in a variety of human resources areas.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills at all levels in the organization.
  • Systems thinker, understanding connections and integration points through the entire talent management lifecycle.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Able to analyze data quickly and thoroughly and provide sound business recommendations based on data.

Additional Information

  • Primary Location: Mossville, IL
  • This role requires the employee to be onsite Monday to Friday
  • Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Travel requirements are 10-15%.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
