A leading company specializing in the SoyBeans and oil industry a looking to hire as a Tax Leader. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing all tax-related activities for the Group, developing robust tax strategies that ensure compliance while maximizing efficiencies, will play an essential role in shaping the company's approach to tax management, Transfer pricing, providing insightful guidance to senior management, and ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish a proactive and efficient Tax Planning process across all entities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate tax risks and enhance tax compliance across all business units.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments in Egypt and Switzerland to identify changes that may affect tax obligations and liabilities.
    • Assess the potential impact of new tax laws and regulations on business operations and financial performance.
    • Provide recommendations to management on proactive measures to address tax risks and ensure compliance with changing tax requirements.
    • Lead and support the relevant tax consultants in preparing Transfer Pricing studies (Local files, Master files, and CbC file).
    • Support the business in developing and implementing transfer pricing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and international guidelines.
    • Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to resolve tax-related issues and optimize tax planning strategies.
    • Review and analyze financial data to identify tax implications and optimize tax planning strategies.
    • Prepare and file tax returns and reports for all applicable taxes, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other relevant taxes.
    • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements, including timely submission and accurate calculation of tax liabilities.
    • Lead all tax inspections including relevant analysis and documentation.
    • Review and manage deferred tax provisions to protect the company’s future tax benefits.
    • Safeguard the company's tax asset balance by ensuring accurate assessment and taking necessary steps for refunding or balance utilization.
    • Manage VAT compliance and reporting requirements, including registration, filing, and payment of VAT returns.
    • Stay updated on changes to VAT regulations and other taxes in Switzerland and assess their impact on business operations.
    • Support in preparing transfer pricing documentation and analysis to verify intercompany transactions within the group.
    • Monitor and update transfer pricing policies as needed to align with changes in business operations and regulatory requirements

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of tax accounting and compliance, with specific expertise in Egyptian and International Taxation.
    • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and other relevant taxes in Egypt (EU exposure is a plus)
    • Experience in preparing and filing tax returns and reports, conducting tax risk assessments, and managing tax audits.
    • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems, with the ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate tax calculations and reports.
    • Excellent planning, analytical skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
