We are a highly profitable regional CPA firm seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our growing team. You’ll play a key leadership role in tax return preparation and review, client service, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax examinations.
  • Manage and delegate tax preparation responsibilities, particularly for large or complex business returns.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete preparation of all client tax filings.
  • Participate in client meetings, tax planning, and coordination with the Audit and Accounting team.
  • Serve as a key tax resource to A&A staff and tax preparers.
  • Manage IRS and other government tax examinations, representing clients as needed.
  • Oversee billing and collections for assigned clients.
  • Contribute to firm growth through community involvement and business development efforts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, train, and evaluate Tax Department team members, including Seniors and Staff Accountants.
  • Provide ongoing development and coaching to support technical and professional growth.
  • Assist in performance reviews and contribute to departmental evaluations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license or JD (active and in good standing).
  • 5–7 years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in international tax consulting and compliance.
  • Familiarity with both U.S. domestic and international tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, pass-through entities, and corporations.
  • Working knowledge of Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, foreign tax credits, and income tax treaties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Taxation.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in complex tax planning and strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and staff development.
