You’ve spent years driving complex software or gaming initiatives across Engineering, QA, and Product — and you're ready to lead at the intersection of quality, process, and execution. You care deeply about building things that work, and you know that smooth delivery depends on strong coordination and scalable systems.Bonus: You love chess (or are eager to fall in love with it).What You'll DoOwn and drive the Quality & Release Operations strategy across the company, spanning multiple platforms (web, mobile, backend)Lead and manage a remote team of 15+ QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical growthHands on + Team ManagementPartner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to ensure seamless planning, prioritization, and execution of programs from idea to launchBuild and optimize processes (Notion → JIRA → Done) to streamline workflows, reduce blockers, and improve delivery velocityLead on implementation and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release best practicesIdentify cross-team dependencies and risks early, and resolve them through proactive program planning and stakeholder managementMonitor industry trends and tools to evolve our QA and delivery stackPreferred Skills5+ years in technical program management, delivery leadership, or engineering management in a software or gaming environmentStrong experience leading distributed teams with a focus on both people and program outcomesFamiliarity with QA automation tools and CI/CD infrastructure; able to partner effectively with engineers to scale quality processes(Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and release managementComfortable owning tooling and systems across project tracking (e.g. Notion, Jira, GitHub workflows)Passion for chess, or strong curiosity about chess products and the communityStrong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed teamSense of ownership and responsibilityAbout the OpportunityThis is a full-time opportunityWe are 100% remote (work from anywhere!)
