- Experience with coding.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with testing products for manufacturing, working with partner or contract manufacturing (e.g., ODM, OEM, JDM).
- Experience with operating system configuring and scripting, especially on Linux OS, and with test tool or diagnostic development.
- Experience with Python script development and validation.
- Familiarity with the software system architecture and the development process, and understanding of hardware debug or test engineering.

The Global Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this physical infrastructure. As a Test Development Engineer, you evaluate the product designs, develop and maintain the various test scripts or tools to support every Google cloud infrastructure product in manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Resolve critical test software issues to unblock production and minimize manufacturing downtime.
Enhance and maintain test scripts and software to support new test features, software/firmware upgrades, and test optimization.
- Partner with Contract Manufacturers (CM) and Joint Design Manufacturers (JDM) to validate and deploy new test scripts.
- Perform root cause analysis on system test failures to implement effective corrective and preventive actions, ensuring higher product quality and reliability.
- Develop tools and systems to streamline team workflows and increase productivity. Collaborate with the NPI (New Product Introduction) team to ensure a smooth and comprehensive handover of all test scripts.
- Assist Google cyber security team on the deployment of security requirement into test environment.
