Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with software test engineering, consumer electronics, and developing test automation solutions for smart home products.
- 3 years of experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C/C++).
- Experience with test strategy creation and alignment with multiple stakeholders for hardware products.
- Experience in writing test plans, software testing methodologies and creating automated test cases and infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with quality and automation with delivering software product features or consumer devices.
- Experience with working on low power, low memory devices and device validation techniques.
- Experience in consumer electronics or home automation.
- Knowledge of sensor technologies, filtering/sensing algorithms, acoustic domain, and validation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Develop test strategy for smart home products and features, and develop virtualization and device simulators based automated feature validation.
- Build an automated test suited to validate Google devices working together in an integration system.
- Validate algorithms running on devices and validate improvements to ship quality products.
- Develop test hooks to monitor code health and system stability, and identify product indicators and build analytics that drive new features and improvements.
- Work on root-cause failures and indicator changes, through automated analysis.
