Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing obstetric procedures including labor, delivery, and cesarean sections.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, surgeons, and nursing staff to develop patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education to patients and families.
  • Assess patients for potential risks and discuss anesthesia options prior to procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration and patient responses.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and ongoing education to enhance best practices in anesthesia care.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with an active license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric anesthesia preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and interventions related to childbirth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development programs.
