Position Summary:
We are looking for a Value Stream Test Lead who would be accountable for leading and coordinating all Functional and Non-Functional testing activities across the assigned Value Stream. This includes ensuring that testing is delivered in accordance with the program’s test framework and scope, quality standards, and agreed timelines.
The role provides strategic oversight of both internal testing teams and vendor-partnered testing streams, ensuring third-party contributions meet defined scope, quality, and schedule expectations. The Test Lead will collaborate closely with other Value Stream Test Leads, delivery managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and maintain strong, transparent working relationships.
A key focus of the role is integrating vendor-managed testing seamlessly into the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, driving accountability and responsibility, and ensuring alignment with program objectives

- Knowledge of business analysis, quality assurance, and workflow tools and/or practices.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment and be adaptable to change.
- Strong knowledge in Insurance domain Duckcreek, Duckcreek- PolicyCenter, Duckcreek- BillingCenter
- Good Knowledge in Java, Selenium
Duties and Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Participate in Quarterly Planning Events to influence decisions on test approach, sequencing, capacity, tooling, and resource requirements.
- Develop and execute the Program Test Strategy.
- Create/review test plans, prepare test cases and data, and participate in test execution as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish test environment governance, manage test data, and ensure the availability of non-production environments for various testing types.
- Support automation and utilise Suncorp testing tools.
Governance and Risk Management:
- Provide test governance across Functional and Non-Functional Test phases.
- Maintain thorough documentation in line with Suncorp’s frameworks.
- Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Generate test reports and metrics to communicate the testing progress, results, and quality of the software to stakeholders.
- Prepare and facilitate entry and exit criteria discussions.
- Identify the need for security and penetration testing and engage with the Suncorp security team for vendor participation where required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for Failover and High Availability testing and understand impact on annual Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Identify, raise, and mitigate risks associated with the testing process and software quality.
- Lead Test Closure governance activities and BAU handover.
Test Execution:
- Work with relevant teams(Suncorp and Partner) to ensure delivery of test activity to the agreed schedule.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to secure business resources for test execution.
- Organise and run defect triage meetings including oversight of the tracking, managing, prioritisation, re-testing, reporting and resolution of defects.
- Identify, raise and manage testing risks and issues to meet the delivery timelines.
- Oversee and participate in testing activities aligned to approved windows that may be outside of core business hours.
Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
- Identify and effectively communicate with key stakeholders including project managers, developers, vendors, and the business to ensure alignment on testing goals and progress.
- Collaborate with Organisational Change Management and Release Management to support activities.
- Prepare and distribute effective/timely Stakeholder Test Status reporting.
- Lead vendor management activities for testing.
- Secure stakeholder sign offs and approval where required.
Resource Management:
- Identify testing resources and work with Program Test Manager and Chapter Leads to secure funding and resources.
- Direct, supervise, and coordinate activities across test phases and teams.
- Foster a positive team environment.
- Provide coaching to junior members of the team.
- Encourage adaptability and personal development.
- Contribute to team building.
