About the Professional Services Team The team plays a critical role in solving real world problems to ship and implement great experiences to Hugohub's clients across the globe. As a UI Design Engineer on our Professional Services team, you’ll play a key role in creating and applying UI kits to UX wireframes, build internal Figma plugins to streamline workflows, automate tasks, scale design operations and as well crafting visually compelling communication for our global clients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail oriented UI Design Engineer to join our Professional Services team with strong logical and analytical thinking.  As a UI Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and applying Figma-based UI kits into wireframes, ensuring a seamless transition from design to development. You will leverage your expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript or any other scripting language to build custom Figma plugins that will automate repetitive design tasks, such as layout adjustments, component application, and design consistency checks. This automation will not only improve efficiency but also enhance the overall quality and consistency of our design deliverables.

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually compelling communication materials that effectively convey our design solutions to our clients. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner will be essential to the success of our projects.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and maintain design systems/UI kits across wireframes to ensure consistent, high-quality visuals and ensure their proper implementation in PS-driven projects
• Build and maintain custom Figma plugins using TypeScript, JavaScript or any other scripting language to automate repetitive design tasks, improve efficiency and enforce design standards.
• Configure and optimize design elements, templates, and components within Figma or other design platforms.
• Apply accessibility and usability principles to visual and UI design.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to align design and development efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Figma and plugin development.
• 1-4 years of experience
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript/Python or any other scripting language
• Solid understanding of UI design principles including understanding of design systems and UI patterns and how to translate wireframes into UI-aligned, high-fidelity mockups
• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of design tokens, variables, and reusable components in UI systems.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks is a plus.
