About the role
As a Vertex Support Specialist, you will make an impact by resolving defects in tax calculations and enhancing the Vertex Tax system for new requirements. You will be a valued member of the Vertex Technologies team and work collaboratively with client key stakeholders and other internal teams.
In this role, you will:
Troubleshoot and resolve tax calculation defects in production
Enhance the Vertex Tax engine for new requirements
Respond to end user queries regarding tax calculation
Ensure documentation is up to date and accurate
Test configuration changes from source to target

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of Vertex Tax experience
Proven support experience in Vertex Tax systems
Strong understanding of various Tax Jurisdictions and Systems
Ability to liaise effectively with client key stakeholders
Experience in testing configuration changes and maintaining documentation
These will help you stand out
Vertex Certification
Experience with Experience Based Differentiation practices
Familiarity with Forrester Research methodologies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage customer experience across all interaction aspects
Salary and Other Compensation
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
