This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of A-LIGN External. We are currently looking for an Account Executive, Expansion - Startup in the United States.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for expanding and renewing existing client accounts, driving new revenue opportunities, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships. You’ll work closely with partner and service delivery teams to ensure seamless communication and high client satisfaction. This position is ideal for self-starters who thrive in fast-paced environments, have a talent for upselling, and enjoy collaborating across departments to drive growth. Your success will directly contribute to customer retention and business expansion in a high-impact sales environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Renew contracts and retain a defined portfolio of clients on an annual or as-needed basis.
  • Upsell additional services and drive revenue growth within existing accounts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all service offerings to accurately scope client needs.
  • Maintain a clear and up-to-date forecast of monthly sales projections.
  • Manage Salesforce tasks consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the service delivery team to communicate client needs and ensure service excellence.
  • Foster trusted and productive relationships with current clients to promote long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven success in customer account expansion with a strong record of achieving or exceeding quota (e.g., President’s Club, full-year attainment).
  • Prior experience in sales for cybersecurity, SaaS, or professional services is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present solutions and value propositions.
  • Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced settings.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with internal teams.
