Accounts Officer

Your New Company/Role:

As an established organization, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team based in Chatswood NSW 2067 . This is a 1 month temporary role and subject to extension. This role is to be based in the office 5 days per week at the start and street parking available. Ideal candidates will have great exposure in processing of supply invoices, ensuring accurate coding, dealing with GL accounts and exposure to tax codes. This role is to help with some backlogs as the company is going through a system transition period.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting into a supportive and nurturing CFOr:

Your duties include:

• Processing a high volume of supply invoices, ensuring accurate coding and data entry into our ERP system
• Selecting the correct supplier accounts, general ledger (GL) accounts, and job numbers for each transaction
• Incorporating appropriate tax codes and claiming tax where applicable
• Collaborating with various departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries
• Assisting with other ad-hoc finance tasks as required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience in a similar role with an Accounting background. You will also bring:

• Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification or relevant work experience
• Prior experience in a similar role ( 2 years or more )
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Exposure to SAGE system is highly desirable
• Intermediate Excel proficiency
• Someone who can work in fast paced environment
• Strong work ethic
• Able to work with minimal supervision

Benefits

• $35 - $39 per hour + Super (based on experience)
