This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of IRIUM. We are currently looking for an ANALISTA PROGRAMADOR/A COBOL in Spain.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a significant banking project, focusing on maintaining and adapting existing COBOL procedures and managing job control language scripts (JCLs). The ideal candidate will bring between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, contributing to the smooth operation and enhancement of financial systems in a collaborative and dynamic environment. This position supports remote work within Spain and promotes continuous professional growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Adapt and update existing COBOL procedures through thorough code review and modification.
  • Maintain, modify, and optimize Job Control Language (JCL) scripts.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality delivery of tasks.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving system issues related to the banking project.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a COBOL analyst/programmer.
  • Solid knowledge of COBOL programming and JCL scripting.
  • Ability to analyze, maintain, and adapt existing code efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Capability to work independently and within a team.
  • Fluent Spanish language skills.
