This remote role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing financial services company dedicated to providing auto loans to underserved communities. You will play a key part in the asset recovery process by locating and supporting the repossession of vehicles while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Accountabilities:
- Utilize skip tracing techniques and GPS asset tracking to locate and assist in repossessing vehicles.
- Collaborate with repossession agents to ensure all necessary steps are followed for successful asset recovery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes in loan management systems and investigative platforms.
- Analyze loan data to identify actionable information for locating assets.
- Upload and document all relevant forms and paperwork related to asset recovery.
- Support the Asset Management Department’s goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors, providing timely updates and following up on recovery status.
- Contribute to day-to-day operations and develop strategies to improve recovery processes.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices relevant to repossession.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in repossession or related collections/recovery role preferred.
- Familiarity with skip tracing tools such as TLO, LexisNexis, or similar investigative software.
- Experience in automobile recovery or finance industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in interactions.
- Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Analytical and results-driven mindset with problem-solving abilities.
