AWS Cloud Architect (Hybrid)

As AWS Cloud Architect, you will make an impact by designing and implementing cloud solutions that leverage AWS technologies to enhance security scalability and efficiency. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with Communications teams.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures on AWS.
• Lead the deployment and management of containerized applications using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
• Architect and integrate event-driven systems using Kafka, SNS, and SQS.
• Optimize and manage PostgreSQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to define infrastructure requirements and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure cloud solutions adhere to best practices in security, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

• Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using AWS services to meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS security solutions such as AWS WAF AWS Security Hub and Amazon GuardDuty to protect cloud environments.
• Optimize resource management through AWS Resource Access Manager and AWS Organizations to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of cloud resources.
• Implement directory services using AWS Directory Service to manage user access and authentication across cloud applications.
• Utilize Amazon Macie and Amazon Detective to monitor and analyze data security and compliance within cloud systems.
• Develop identity management solutions with AWS Cognito to streamline user authentication and authorization processes.
• Configure and manage Amazon Elasticsearch Service for real-time data analysis and search capabilities.
• Oversee AWS License Manager to manage software licenses and compliance within the cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage AWS Workspaces to provide secure and scalable virtual desktop solutions.
• Implement containerization strategies using Amazon ECR and AWS EKS to enhance application deployment and scalability.
• Utilize AWS Glue for data integration and transformation tasks to support data-driven decision-making processes.
• Implement AWS Shield and AWS Systems Manager to enhance security and operational management of cloud resources.
• Configure AWS Certificate Manager to manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure communications.
• Develop automation scripts using AWS CLI and AWS SDK to streamline cloud operations and deployments.
• Implement caching solutions with AWS ElasticCache to improve application performance and responsiveness.
• Utilize Amazon SNS Amazon SQS and Amazon MQ for reliable messaging and communication between cloud applications.
• Design API solutions using Amazon API Gateway to facilitate seamless integration and data exchange between systems.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments using AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Config to ensure best practices and compliance.
• Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework to assess and improve cloud architecture designs.
• Implement AWS ADFS for secure and efficient single sign-on solutions across cloud applications.
• Focus on AWS Cloud Native Security and Networking to ensure robust and secure cloud infrastructure.

Work model:

What you need to have to be considered

• Possess extensive experience in AWS cloud services including AWS WAF AWS Security Hub and AWS Resource Access Manager.
• Demonstrate proficiency in AWS Directory Service Amazon Macie and Amazon GuardDuty for enhanced security management.
• Have expertise in AWS Cognito and Amazon Elasticsearch Service for identity management and data analysis.
• Show capability in managing AWS Organizations and AWS License Manager for resource and license optimization.
• Experience in deploying AWS Workspaces and Amazon ECR for virtual desktop and container solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue AWS Shield and AWS Systems Manager for data integration and security management.
• Proficiency in AWS CLI AWS SDK and AWS ElasticCache for automation and performance enhancement.
• Knowledge of Amazon SNS Amazon SQS and Amazon MQ for messaging solutions.
• Understanding of Amazon API Gateway and AWS Trusted Advisor for API management and best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until September/11/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $94,500 – $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
