Care Director

We are seeking an experienced Care Director to join our welcoming 144-bed residence located in the heart of Bendigo, regional Victoria, approximately 150 km northwest of Melbourne. Please note that this role is not based in metropolitan Melbourne; applicants must live locally or be willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

As the Care Director, reporting to the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM), you will leverage your clinical background to enhance every aspect of our residents’ wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing, planning, and evaluating resident care while nurturing partnerships with family members to ensure the provision of safe, quality care.
• Promoting a positive learning environment to develop the capability and knowledge of the next generation of carers and nurses.
• Overseeing clinical governance through quality improvement processes, auditing, and reporting.
• Monitoring the availability and provision of clinical resources.
• Developing clinical care programs to ensure they are of the highest standard.
• Supporting the financial management of the residence.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for an honest and ethical leader with a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical leadership role within a large aged care home.
• Qualifications as a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in managing people and budgets.
• Australian working rights- NO sponsorship.
• Prior experience in clinical management in aged care.
