Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Cloud Native Security. The candidate will work in the Energy and Utilities domain, contributing to the design and implementation of robust cloud solutions. This hybrid role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient cloud infrastructure, enhancing our service delivery and impact on society.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement cloud solutions using AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing systems in the Utilities domain.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for AWS Cloud Native Security to enhance data protection.
• Oversee the migration of on-premises applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation to support ongoing operations and future enhancement.
• Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization to achieve cost-effective solutions without compromising performance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
• Implement automation strategies to streamline cloud deployment and management processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor cloud performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals and service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all cloud-related activities.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Demonstrate expertise in AWS Architected Framework and AWS Cloud Native Security.
• Possess strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
• Exhibit experience in the Utilities domain, understanding its unique challenges and requirements.
• Real-time experience with cloud migration and optimization strategies.

Salary and Other Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $114,500 depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applicants must be physically located in the US and have valid US work authorization. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship. Applications will be accepted till 9/15.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
