Cyber Security Architect

As a Cyber Security Architect you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust security solutions. You will be a valued member of the Insurance team and work collaboratively with managers.

In this role, you will

• Design and implement comprehensive cyber security architectures to protect cloud-based systems and data.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security measures into existing and new projects.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents responding promptly to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
• Provide expert guidance on cyber security best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends and technologies to enhance our security posture.
• Lead incident response efforts coordinating with relevant teams to address and resolve security breaches.
• Evaluate and select security tools and technologies to enhance our security infrastructure.
• Develop and deliver security training programs to raise awareness and improve security practices.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment with our security objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on security incidents and improvements for management review.
• Ensure the security architecture aligns with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• Possess a strong understanding of cyber security principles and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments.
• Exhibit proficiency in conducting security assessments and audits.
• Show expertise in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Have a proven track record of responding to and mitigating security incidents.
• Display knowledge of the latest cyber security trends and technologies.
• Hold a relevant certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client OR Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario.
