As a Cyber Security Architect you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust security solutions. You will be a valued member of the Insurance team and work collaboratively with managers.
In this role, you will
- Design and implement comprehensive cyber security architectures to protect cloud-based systems and data.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security measures into existing and new projects.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents responding promptly to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
- Provide expert guidance on cyber security best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends and technologies to enhance our security posture.
- Lead incident response efforts coordinating with relevant teams to address and resolve security breaches.
- Evaluate and select security tools and technologies to enhance our security infrastructure.
- Develop and deliver security training programs to raise awareness and improve security practices.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment with our security objectives.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on security incidents and improvements for management review.
- Ensure the security architecture aligns with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
- Possess a strong understanding of cyber security principles and cloud technologies.
- Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments.
- Exhibit proficiency in conducting security assessments and audits.
- Show expertise in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Have a proven track record of responding to and mitigating security incidents.
- Display knowledge of the latest cyber security trends and technologies.
- Hold a relevant certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client OR Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario.
