Role Definition
Designs, develops, builds, and implements new components, products, or technologies.

Responsibilities
• Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists.
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components.
• Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• New product development to mass production, understand voice of customer, define technical specification, support the product design, analysis, development, and validation.
• Develop project plan and implement accordingly to drive the project moving forward.
• Engage in Cost Reduction initiatives with robust validation and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with global design teams, operations, purchasing and the supply base to meet product and design cost targets.
• Utilize key product development processes (Advanced product quality planning, Failure mode effectiveness analysis, etc.) inherent in NPI (new product introduction), CPI (continue product improvement), cost reduction projects.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support on parts development, supplier’s process improvement, and better quality control.
• Technical problem solving
• Engineering maintenance of current product


Degree Requirement
Bachelor or above degree in an accredited Engineering (mechanical, vehicle, material) curriculum.

Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Fluent in English (reading, listening, writing, and speaking).

Good Project management capability, excellent communication, and organization skills.

Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, teamwork skills
