Desktop Support Engineer

Experience: 2-4 years
The ideal candidate will provide technical support and ensure seamless operation of desktop systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to enhance user productivity and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
· Provide comprehensive desktop support to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
· Collaborate with team members to implement system upgrades and patches.
· Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and solutions for future reference.
· Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
· Assist in the deployment and configuration of new desktop systems.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols.
· Offer guidance and training to users to enhance their technical proficiency.
· Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements when necessary.
· Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and improvements.
· Contribute to the development of support procedures and best practices.
· Provide feedback to improve service delivery and user experience.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance support capabilities.
Qualifications
· Demonstrate proficiency in desktop support and troubleshooting techniques.
· Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with users and team members.
· Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
· Have experience with remote support tools and technologies.
· Show commitment to delivering high-quality service and user satisfaction.
· Display the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
· Maintain a strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements.
Certifications Required
CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent in Desktop Support
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $37,800– $59,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
