Job Summary

Join our team as a Systems Engineer where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure. With a focus on Service Desk and Desktop Support you will ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional support to our users. This hybrid role offers flexibility of both remote and on-site work allowing you to balance work and life effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support and troubleshooting for Service Desk and Desktop Support issues ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain efficient systems and processes that enhance productivity and user experience.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to prevent disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of hardware and software ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Offer guidance and support to users addressing their technical queries and ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve support services and system capabilities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations to maintain a secure and reliable IT environment.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Contribute to the company’s mission by ensuring that IT systems support business objectives and enhance overall performance.


Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in Service Desk and Desktop Support with a proven track record of resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work model.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Have experience with remote support tools and techniques ensuring effective assistance to users in various locations.
  • Show proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Display a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Hold a bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Certifications Required

  • CompTIA A+ ITIL Foundation Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

Salary and Other Compensation:

· Applications will be accepted until Sep 19,2025.

· The yearly salary for this position is between $50,000 –$58,000 per year, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

· This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
