DevOps Engineer

Talent Worx is looking for a dynamic and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our progressive team. In this role, you will integrate development and operations to optimize and streamline our software delivery processes. Your expertise in automation, system management, and cloud services will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and integration of software updates.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to refine and optimize build processes, deployment strategies, and collaboration practices.
  • Monitor the system’s performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications and services.
  • Manage system security, including setup, deployment, and maintenance of firewall and access control systems.
  • Continuously improve system performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues across the development and production environments.
  • Document processes, best practices, and configurations for reproducibility and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, including implementation and management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a keen focus on operational excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless architectures.
  • Experience in implementing automated security practices in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
