This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely as part of a dynamic cybersecurity team focused on managing and enhancing data loss prevention (DLP) and related security solutions. You will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing cutting-edge security tools in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with IT, development, and privacy teams. The position requires a proactive self-starter with a solid technical foundation and a commitment to maintaining strong security postures. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their cybersecurity expertise and contribute to protecting organizational assets across multiple platforms.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor, report on, and improve the performance and utilization of assigned cybersecurity tools such as Proxy Management, DLP, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions.
- Manage configurations, policies, and operational activities of technical security solutions.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, resolve security alerts, and perform remediation tasks to ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain and update application scripts and security documentation.
- Track, document, and remediate security vulnerabilities, incidents, and requests.
- Support change management, incident response, and audit activities, including preparation of detailed security reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure timely resolution of security-related work requests.
- Assist with on-call support and escalations as needed.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to the development of operational procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including at least 1 year in cybersecurity and 2 years in IT infrastructure.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred in a related field.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and security concepts for network, applications, and operating systems.
- Experience or familiarity with DLP, Proxy Management, and SASE solutions such as Zscaler or Netskope; certifications in Netskope are a strong plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot security issues, perform vulnerability and patch management.
- Strong technical, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps concepts, risk management, and security best practices.
- Experience with scripting and automation, as well as working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, ownership-driven attitude.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+.
- Exposure to project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or SAFe is a plus.
