The EHS Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. This position is responsible for coordinating safety initiatives, managing environmental compliance, supporting onboarding processes, and maintaining accurate records and systems to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. This position reports directly to the EHS Manager and helps support their daily/ weekly/ monthly activities to ensure success of the department.

Special Announcement: It was recently announced that PSLD Lafayette operations will be moving many of their positions to the facility in Lebanon, IN over the next two years. These positions are included in the upcoming move.

Additional Information:

  • This is a 1st Shift position Mon - Fri 7:30am - 3:30pm

  • Located in Lafayette, IN (1627 Veterans Memorial Pkwy E, Lafayette, IN 47905)

  • Potential monthly attendance bonus of $200

  • Ability to work overtime when required

What You Will Do:
Guardian Program Management

  • Lead and continuously improve the Guardian Program.
  • Facilitate Guardian meetings with cross-functional teams to track performance and drive results.
  • Scan, upload, and communicate Guardian checklists and updates to supervisors.
  • Train new Guardians and communicate with Guardees and Section Management.
  • Manage swag distribution, vest/hat issuance, and payment reminders.

Safety Campaigns & Communication

  • Develop and execute weekly/monthly safety and community campaigns (e.g., Stop to Fix, Veterans Day, United Way).
  • Utilize Communication Alley, Yammer, and Daily Kick-Off Meetings for safety messaging.
  • Coordinate Safety Champions and Green Team activities, including scheduling, challenges, and meeting documentation.
  • Create and distribute “News Flush” monthly safety slides.

Environmental Compliance

  • Track and input environmental metrics (e.g., Waste Management, Safety Kleen, Iron Mountain) into Resource Advisor.
  • Conduct spill/waste investigations and manage countermeasures.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste per DOT regulations.
  • Maintain and audit spill kits, eye wash stations, and flammable cabinet supplies.
  • Manage SDSs, labels, and product tracking per GHS standards.
  • Coordinate monthly environmental campaigns and swag distribution.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain employee database (new hires, terminations, department changes).
  • Assist EHS with onboarding, training documentation, and placement communication.
  • Monitor training files and employee transfers.
  • Manage badge access, fobs, and security credentials for employees and contractors across four buildings.
  • Support onboarding and security coverage during absences.
  • Track Values in Action slips, and distribute safety coins and Canteen bucks.
  • Maintain equipment inspection logs (forklifts, cranes, ladders).
  • Order and stock office and break room supplies; coordinate with Canteen for maintenance.
  • Receive and distribute mail.
  • Coordinate and implement new safety initiatives and projects in collaboration with the EHS manager and team.

Contractor Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain and update Certificates of Insurance and contractor safety documentation.
  • Ensure contractor access via LEC and badge systems.

Systems & Tools

  • Provide Associate PPE vending machine access.
  • Manage Powerfleet access for motorized equipment.
  • Use SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.

What You Have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Ability to work OT when required

  • Starting wage is $22.25/hour (additional night shift premium for off shifts). Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory).

Summary Pay Range:

$22.25 - $27.75
