Join a dynamic Agile team supporting the development and maintenance of mission-critical applications for a federal client. In this remote, full-time role, you'll work on modern, microservices-based architectures within AWS, using a range of open-source technologies. You’ll contribute to designing scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions while collaborating closely with stakeholders and fellow engineers. Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and support full-stack applications in an Agile environment for federal customers.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to plan, design, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as planning, refinement, estimation, design, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability of all new and updated code.
  • Work across multiple languages, frameworks, and platforms including Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, ReactJS, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, offering insights and improvement suggestions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement by identifying challenges and proposing solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency with several programming languages and frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, ReactJS, Python, Ruby on Rails, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and tools: AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, etc.), Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Swagger, New Relic.
  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle RDS, or DynamoDB.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an Agile development environment (SAFe or Scrum preferred).
  • U.S. Citizenship required, with residence in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (existing clearance preferred).
  • Must work East Coast core hours: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM ET (+2 hours earlier/later), 40 hrs/week with occasional flexibility and on-call needs.
