Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all - and it has never been more urgent. An estimated $124 trillion in assets is expected to transfer to younger generations over the next two decades. This is the largest wealth shift in human history—and we’re building at the center of it.

We’re applying frontier technologies to tackle the world’s biggest financial problems and give people power to shape their future. To do that we’re assembling an elite team: Bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired for urgency and precision.

About the team & role

The Exchange API team powers all of our trading interfaces — including REST API, FIX API, WebSockets, and market data feeds. Our goal is to provide a fast, reliable, and seamless experience for our API users — from hobbyists to high-frequency traders.

As a Golang Engineer you'll work on the code that directly impacts the daily experience of traders. You’ll be expected to write clean, efficient, and production-grade code that performs under heavy load. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, delivery, and impact.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain services supporting our Exchange APIs, from order routing to real-time market data.
  • Write high-quality Golang code focused on performance and reliability.
  • Debug and resolve issues across multiple systems and services.
  • Deliver incremental improvements quickly, while ensuring long-term code health.
  • Monitor production systems and take ownership of the services you build—including participating in on-call rotation.
  • Ensure the accuracy, speed, and consistency of data flowing through our APIs.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of backend development experience, including strong skills in Golang.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments like AWS.
  • Solid database knowledge — either SQL (MySQL) or NoSQL (DynamoDB).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on execution and delivery.
  • Desire to take ownership of your work and see it through from development to production.
  • Curiosity and a drive to make things faster, more reliable, and more efficient.

Nice to haves

  • Experience using or building API trading systems—especially if you’ve run your own trading bot.
  • Familiarity with FIX API, WebSocket protocols, or low-latency systems.
  • Exposure to financial systems, trading platforms, or real-time applications.

We’re looking for collaborative, intensely driven people to be part of our journey in democratizing finance for all. Bitstamp by Robinhood is not a place for complacency, it’s a place for builders. We’re a high-performing, fast moving team, where ethics and making a real impact drive everything we do.

If our mission energizes you and you’re ready to give us all you’ve got, we look forward to seeing your application.
