As the Head of Events & Offsites, you will design and deliver strategic, in-person experiences for a distributed workforce of 1,000+ employees. This high-impact leadership role involves overseeing over 50 annual gatherings—from intimate leadership offsites to large-scale company events—ensuring operational excellence, financial discipline, and cultural alignment. You will lead a global team, shape the internal events strategy, and bring high standards to execution, innovation, and performance. Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute 50+ annual in-person events, from 5-person executive offsites to 500-person conferences, managing logistics end-to-end.
- Architect and optimize scalable planning workflows, playbooks, and automation systems to ensure consistent quality and maximize efficiency.
- Own and manage a large-scale annual events budget, with responsibility for long-term forecasting, event-level P&Ls, and per-head cost control.
- Direct and develop a distributed global team of event managers and coordinators, fostering accountability, clarity, and career growth.
- Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders in Finance, Legal, Communications, and Executive Leadership to translate goals into execution-ready plans.
- Establish and manage vendor partnerships to streamline operations, reduce cost, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Track impact through measurement frameworks and feedback loops to continuously improve satisfaction, lead times, and operational performance.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience leading large-scale employee events, with in-house expertise in multi-day offsites and full-company gatherings.
- Proven success in managing complex domestic travel, overnight accommodations, F&B programming, and business-aligned agendas.
- Demonstrated mastery of budget ownership, including 12+ month forecasting and real-time delivery within defined financial targets.
- Experience leading and developing remote teams across time zones, particularly in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Systems-thinker with a background in building scalable, repeatable processes and using automation to connect execution with performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate competing priorities and influence stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Proficient in tools like Slack, Navan, Swoogo, and especially AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to scale event operations and boost team productivity.
- Willing and able to travel 5–10 times a year domestically, and once annually to the Philippines.

- $160,000–$200,000 for candidates in Austin, DC, CA, MA, NJ, or WA
