Infrastructure Development Specialist

About the role
As an Infrastructure Development Specialist, you make an impact by being at the forefront of building and maintaining the systems that keep our business running smoothly across global time zones. By designing scalable infrastructure, streamlining deployments, and automating critical processes, you’ll directly enhance performance, reliability, and security. Your expertise in Docker and Kubernetes will not only strengthen our infrastructure but also empower teams to deliver faster, more efficient solutions that fuel innovation and growth. You will be a valued member of our Cloud and Infrastructure Security team and work collaboratively with our Infra Ops Specialist.

In this role, you will:
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support business needs and growth.
• Optimize deployment processes using Docker and Kubernetes to improve efficiency and speed.
• Automate infrastructure tasks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems to ensure performance, availability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of infrastructure components.
• Maintain clear documentation for processes, configurations, and standards.
• Implement and test backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and systems.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in rotational shifts to ensure 24/7 global infrastructure support.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to enhance capabilities.

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dublin, OH. What you need to have to be considered
• Demonstrated expertise in Docker and Kubernetes with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience automating infrastructure using scripting languages.
• Familiarity with security standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
