As part of Zain Cash’s strategic focus on expanding international remittance services, the Team Leader – International Remittances will play a critical role in managing and growing this business line. The role involves leading high-impact projects, managing partnerships with global remittance providers, and ensuring operational excellence while driving profitability. This role will be reported directly to the Operations Director.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of international remittance projects, particularly those involving global partners like Western Union and Trans Fast.
- Manage daily operations and performance of the international remittance unit with full responsibility for its P&L.
- Build, strengthen, and maintain strategic relationships with key international partners and financial service providers.
- Oversee the implementation of the Trans Fast remittance project in collaboration with Mastercard and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, IT, Compliance, and Marketing to support operational readiness and promotional efforts.
- Use data analytics to identify trends, customer behaviors, and growth opportunities; translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international remittance standards.
- Contribute to the long-term strategy of the Operations department and Zain Cash’s broader financial services ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in remittance operations and business development.
- Demonstrated experience in managing international remittance projects.
- Strong understanding of Money Transfer Operators (MTOs) such as Western Union, MoneyGram, and Trans Fast.
- Direct involvement with MTO partners and knowledge of their compliance and operational procedures
