To be considered for this role, you must hold a Medicines Counter Assistant qualification.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual to support the approval of Consumer Health orders containing pharmacy lines and ensure the accurate dispensing of prescriptions for our patients. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you’ll play a key role in meeting performance targets and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. You’ll also be responsible for implementing effective quality controls and ensuring clear communication across pharmacy teams.

 What you’ll be doing?

  • Ensure all prescriptions received are dispensed daily  
  • Support the clinical team with day-to-day activities  
  • Comply with P2U dispensary operations procedure and meet internal targets for dispensing quality and accuracy   
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional and company requirements  
  • Working within a high-volume environment  
  • Meeting set targets for individuals and team to meet business targets  
  • Taking ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy  
  • Working with key teams across the business (customer service, purchasing, operations & pharmacists  
  • Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly.   

Who are we looking for?

  • Holds Medicines Counter Assistant qualification
  • Comfortable using IT systems and able to learn new technologies quickly; intermediate Excel skills are essential
  • Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Capable of managing and prioritising a varied workload, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a professional and respectful approach
  • Eager to learn and grow, with a willingness to complete the NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Assistants Course after 3 months
  • Always demonstrates a patient-first mindset and a commitment to upholding company values and ethical standards
