Network Infrastructure Specialist

Cognizant is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Irvine, CA. This is an onsite role. Qualified candidates should have valid US work authorization. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

The salary range for this role is between $79,000 and $92,000 depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

The Infra. Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco Switching & Routing. The candidate will leverage their expertise in Medicare & Medicaid Claims to ensure seamless integration and functionality. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco Switching & Routing to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with Medicare & Medicaid Claims systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
• Develop and implement network security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of network hardware and software to support business operations.
• Lead efforts to automate network processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and implementation of network solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions for network optimization.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations processes and procedures for reference and compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure network resilience and business continuity.
• Travel as required to support network projects and initiatives at various locations.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in Cisco Switching & Routing, demonstrating the ability to manage complex network environments.
• Have a strong understanding of Medicare & Medicaid Claims ensuring seamless integration with network systems.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
• Show proficiency in network security protocols and compliance standards to protect sensitive information.
• Display strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Have a proven track record of successfully leading network projects and initiatives to completion.
