This role is a senior-level, high-impact position focused on driving strategic growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing complex, high-value deals across multiple markets. You will serve as a key growth catalyst, architecting and negotiating deals that significantly boost company revenue while expanding the customer base. This role requires strong autonomy, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex buying groups. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align business development efforts with company-wide goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Accountabilities:
- Proactively generate and manage a robust pipeline of strategic business opportunities through research, outreach, and relationship building.
- Lead full partnership cycles, including stakeholder alignment, solution design, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Negotiate complex agreements with creativity and strong commercial judgment.
- Conduct regular strategic business reviews with partners to assess and improve partnership performance.
- Maintain accurate and transparent reporting on pipeline, forecasts, and deal progress.
- Continuously optimize go-to-market strategies to increase deal velocity, close rates, and deal sizes.
- Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader company objectives.
- Mentor and coach developing team members, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
- Embrace experimentation to enhance partnerships and business development programs.
Requirements
- Proven track record of independently initiating and closing high-impact strategic and enterprise deals.
- Consistent achievement of six-figure quotas with strategic accounts.
- Strong ability to identify whitespace opportunities and manage complex buying groups.
- Highly self-directed with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert negotiation skills and familiarity with legal/commercial deal frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to influence both internal teams and external executives.
- Strong sales, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient time management and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys.
- Proficiency with Google Suite or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of business development experience in B2B technology, preferably in SaaS, startups, or API/Developer platforms.
